This week in Moscow, officials from Languages Canada (LC) and The Association of Russian Educational Advisors (AREA) signed an Agreement of Collaboration, the first of its kind in Russia, that will see both organizations develop a framework that fosters trust in order to facilitate trade and educational exchange.
In short: this means that CCEL provides quality programs recognized by the governmental representatives of Russia and Canada and this will have an immense impact to improving visa application process to come for studies in Canada for our potential students!!!
Each year 1,735 Russian students attend accredited language programs in Canada. With this agreement LC and AREA are hoping to double that number in the next few years. The Agreement of Collaboration stipulates that both organizations will create a working group that ensures that members are informed of developments that can affect educational trade. This exchange between the two countries will explore best practices between the Canadian language education sector and the Russian educational advisor sector. These practices can apply to specific Russian-Canadian issues or to global ones.
