An excellent video of the Canadian College of English Language (CCEL). Its a bit old but it has some great footage of the Campus, Students and Teachers.
Hope you enjoy it, thank you to everyone who helped make it.
During its 15 years of operations CCEL has gained worldwide recognition as one of the most reputable private English Language Colleges in Canada. The selection and quality of courses are second to none. Vancouver, a sophisticated and safe North American city nestled in a spectacular natural setting, is the perfect study destination. My staff and I will do everything we can to make your visit successful.
Jim Clark (President & Owner)
The Canadian College of English Language, established in 1991 in Vancouver, is considered by many to be the most reputable Private English Language College in Canada and during our 15 years we have developed an impressive list of programs suitable for all ages and levels. We have courses specifically designed for language students of all ages, university pathway students (with partnerships with the University of Alberta and 13 other Canadian universities), Executives (possibly the only true Executive Language program in Canada), and Youth (groups and individuals in summer and winter vacation programs). Our 12 week Certificate and 24 week Diploma in English and Business English Programs are featured in our new brochure. Our present 7 floor campus is impressive in its size, ideal as a learning environment, and located in the heart of Downtown. We will be moving in 2007 to a new campus on Robson St which will have onsite student apartments and a residence.
Students from 35 different countries attend our ESL programs, Youth Vacation programs, Certificate and Diploma programs, and our EAP programs which we run in partnership with the University of Alberta. We also offer a Pre Masters Program. All information on these programs is on our website.

CCEL has bought an apartment building and a neighboring heritage house on Robson Street and is now in the process of converting them into a new campus with a combination of college and student accommodation.
The new facility will have state of the art classrooms on two floors, street level offices and internet cafe/lunch room, PLUS one floor of student apartments. The heritage house will be converted into a student residence.
The location on Robson near Denman is the hub of student night life and is surrounded by a diverse range of ethnic restaurants popular with international students. Close to parks and beaches as well as right on Vancouver’s most exclusive shopping street, it is an ideal location.
Our current location on Pender Street is to be demolished for a 35 storey tower. We expect to move to the Robson campus early 2007.
YMCA College in Vancouver closes, students move to CCEL
One of the oldest and most reputable schools in Canada, the Vancouver YMCA International College, will be closing its doors October this year. The YMCA Vancouver is demolishing its present building to make way for a new 40 storey tower early 2007. Students from the YMCA International College in Vancouver will move to the Canadian College of English Language for their classes.
